ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and relates to a pleasant, relaxing sensation felt in the scalp and neck when listening to soft sounds or seeing calming visuals. ASMR videos have taken off in popularity in the last 5-7 years and continue to provide relaxation and meditation for listeners around the world.
While research into the effects of ASMR on mental health remains in its infancy, anecdotal evidence provided from users have indicated it can support other treatments in assisting with sleep/insomnia, anxiety and stress.
